I recently started piping with the world-famous Red Hot Chilli Pipers! It was an honour to be asked and i have been enjoying learning the material, meeting the guys and playing gigs. My first gig was with the wee band (corporate version of the Chillis) and this was for the Davis Cup at Emirates Arena, Glasgow. We played on Friday, before Andy Murray’s semi-final, to a great crowd. Afterwards we were given court-side sats and cheered Andy to victory! My first ‘big band’ gig at Looe Music Festival in Cornwall (see pic below) and it went well 🙂 I’ve since played for the Chillis in the Fairmont Hotel, St Andrews and the Kelvingrove Art Galleries, Glasgow, and a couple more gigs next week…
